While catching up with Party Boyz DJ MR. Rogers, he mentioned some entities and names he is working with throughout the industry. Showing a regard to the definition of hustle, Rogers voiced that all his endeavors are circulating the industry quite rapidly with the Party Boyz DJ movement amounting up to 240 strong, along with the Dorrough’s “Get BIG” and DSF Productions still “Boss Hoggin”, touring with Slim Thug. Aside from DJing concerts, events, and clubs six nights a week, he schedules studio time every Tuesday to produce beats for various artist such as, Mac Miller, Dom Kennedy, Currency, Slim Thug, Zero, Casey Veggies, 2 Chains, and many others.
Rogers then told us about the beginning of this journey back when he was a freshman at Prairie View A&M University, originally aspiring to become an artist. Rodgers elaborated by saying, “The hustle started here at PV in the UC, selling mix CDs of various songs. Learned how to edit and record, then started making slowed up and chopped up mixtapes, I used to actually rap , I wasn’t Dj’n, I was spittin’, and then I’d seen how the parties was rockin’ and how the money was being made Dj’n. Bought me some tables and started doing parties, began producing mixtapes, got on Fruity Loops, then began producing my own beats.”
